Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates it. That company processes the query and supplies the result. We do not keep or log the search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained so our team can respond. We do not disclose the message beyond our organization unless the law requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the servers automatically receive basic technical details about that visit:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help show, in aggregate, which pages receive traffic and where visits end. Analytics providers assist with that measurement. A browser can block cookies, though doing so may change how some site features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
No database of court dockets or personal case-record data is hosted, maintained, compiled, or sold here. The site provides general directions to Collin County District Clerk Michael Gould, the Texas District Courts, other local clerks, county search tools, and re:SearchTX. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is never assembled into a consumer report or a record about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their own privacy policies, retention rules, and disclosure practices apply to information entered there. We do not control those practices, so review the provider's policy before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Throughout the site we link to clerk of court pages, trial court portals, statewide case-search systems, legal aid groups, and third-party search tools. Clicking any of those links takes you off our site. At that point, their privacy policy governs your visit. Read it before sharing any personal details.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Standard safeguards are used for collected data. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, however, and we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If data from a minor is identified, a request may be made for its deletion.
Your Data Rights
Rights may vary with the law that applies to you. Texas court records are reached under the Texas Public Information Act framework, with judiciary access governed mainly by Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12 and other court rules. Those rules govern official court material held by a clerk, not visitor data held by this private site. For information held here, you may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This privacy policy may be revised as practices or legal requirements change. A revised version will appear on this page with a new effective date.
